Unlimited Deal Passes in the Meta Ques 3

Moreover, the courts have given the green light to Meta Platforms to acquire the VR company Within Unlimited, as reported by sources on Friday.

This decision is a setback for the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which may choose to appeal the ruling and employ internal measures to block the acquisition, according to CNBC. The FTC filed an injunction to halt the deal on Wednesday until the court could make a ruling on the competition case.

In July of last year, the FTC filed a lawsuit against the merger, criticizing Meta for acquiring its competitors. At the time, a Meta spokesperson responded that the lawsuit was “based on ideology and speculation, not evidence.”

The spokesperson added, “The notion that this acquisition would result in anticompetitive outcomes in a rapidly growing and highly competitive space such as online and connected fitness is not credible.
