For over a decade, he shared his passion for music and Spanish with students and colleagues at Peekskill High School. His impact was profound, leaving lasting impressions on those whose lives he touched. In addition to his professional pursuits, David was a loving husband to Maria and a devoted father to his two children, Sofia (10) and Lucas (7).

A Heartbreaking Incident The circumstances surrounding David Flores’ passing are deeply saddening. While returning home from a rehearsal with his band, The Flores Brothers, he tragically lost control of his vehicle, resulting in a collision with a tree on Route 9. David was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, suspecting that icy road conditions may have contributed to the accident.

A Life Dedicated to Music and Education Born on April 15, 1985, in Peekskill, New York, David Flores hailed from a musical family. Growing up, he learned to play various instruments and formed a band with his brothers during high school. Excelling academically and in extracurriculars at Peekskill High School, David graduated as the valedictorian of the class of 2003.

He pursued his passion for music and education at New York University, where he met his future wife, Maria. The couple married in 2009 and settled in Peekskill, starting a family that would become the center of David’s life.

A Dedicated Educator and Community Member Joining Peekskill High School in 2010 as a music and Spanish teacher, David was known for his enthusiasm and dedication.
