Warner Music Group Launches Social Music Metaverse Rhythm City on Roblox

Warner Music Group, a worldwide entertainment company, declared on Monday the launch of its social music Metaverse called Rhythm City. 

The project was a collaboration between WMG and Gamefan, a gaming and content metaverse firm, to bring artists to the public through the social roleplay platform Roblox. 

Those visiting Rhythm City will have access to a new set of digital assets that are unique to Roblox. 

According to Oana Ruxandra, the CDO and Executive Vice President of Business Development at WMG, there are “exciting prospects” to increase interaction between artists and fans.

Their partnership with Gamefam involves creating a space for artists and audiences to gather and give meaning to their communities within interactive environments.

WMG collaborated with Gamefam to develop Rhythm City, which blends important gaming features with the excitement of music. Users can select from various roles such as music producer, DJ, dancer, and more, allowing them to discover, dance, and socialize with friends while experiencing lesser-known music and participating in mini-music competitions. Furthermore, Rhythm City will host virtual concerts and events with selected artists from WMG.

The announcement follows a significant collaboration agreement between WMG and OpenSea to organise Web3 tools for creatives and artists. With a partner from Web3, the platform will host non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Probably Nothing in terms of giving WMG artists engagement resources and digital assets.

It will provide artists with landing pages, storytelling, digital product drops, and other content solutions. Fans can connect with their favorite artists to define best practices for Web3 governance and announce limited-edition NFT drops.

According to a statement from the Sandbox, the program gives music lovers “a combination of a musical theme park and concert venue.” WMG created a custom musical metaverse stage for real-time 3D (RT3D) performances with musicians like Camilla Cabello, Green Day, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, and others.

The portal also houses Snoop Dogg’s Snoopverse, which has 67 premium places and 122 digital LAND plots for individuals looking for property in the Metaverse.
